ABI Investigative Operations
The ABI operations are located in one of four geographically situated Regions. ABI Regions are under the command of a captain. Each ABI Region is further subdivided into an ABI Area. There are currently eight ABI Areas in the state. Each ABI Area is under the supervision of a lieutenant. The ABI agents are deployed across the state and are generally located in Region or Field offices. These offices are in or located in close proximity to Highway Patrol operations. The ABI headquarters is located in the Alabama Department of Public Safety headquarters complex in Montgomery, Alabama.
