to Montgomery from the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo on Dauphin Island. Patrolmen
Kenneth Rush was seriously injured in the accident. |

saved the life of the driver following a previous accident involving the same driver. |

vehicle struck a horse in the road. The animal hit the vehicle's roof, which caved
in causing Trooper Nichols to lose control of the car and run off the road.
